Wedding in NC in December

Trying to figure this out so I have plenty of time to get something in advance. What should I wear to a wedding in North Carolina in the middle of December. I don't know how fancy they get for weddings down there. The ceremony and reception...any suggestions??

Honestly I'd talk to the host. Some weddings here can be very casual. Some, even in the more "formal" venues, guests IMO are still too casual.

I'm shocked when people make a big deal about full bar. Things that are an assumed "given" isn't always the case down here.

Personally..you can never go wrong with a classic cocktail dress & so what if you're over-dressed...it's a wedding (unless it says right on invite, casual/beach/etc)
