Wedding registry question
Did anyone register for board games on their registry? My friend is getting married soon and I was invited to his fiancee's shower. I don't know her too well. I can't go but plan on sending a gift. While perusing her 4 registries, I realized she registered for board games, tic tacks, karaoke machine and cds, make up, foot lotion and some other random things. It is just me or is this strange? I mean, I know a registry is a wishlist but I just found these things odd.

Thanks for replying. I am sitting here trying to figure out what to buy for the couple and needed to share this with someone since DH is asleep.

Re: Wedding registry question
foot lotion?
very strange indeed. what kind of place even allows you to add something like that to your registry?

Re: Wedding registry question
Was it at BBB? Remember how some girls on LIW found that people who bought gifts for them at BBB had their entire purchases added to the registry. Like, if I go to BBB and buy a registry gift, and pay for some stuff for myself at the same time, all of my purchase ends up listed on their registry. It will show that it was already bought, but it still comes up. I hope that's what happened. Otherwise it is bizarre that she has things like makeup on her registry.

NO, no one bought these things for her. She clearly listed them that she would like them. I checked out her other registries and she has a ton of random "girlie" stuff on there that her FH could never use. Strange... Oh well.

Re: Wedding registry question
That is odd. I know Sephora does a registry now, but I'd feel funny having people support my makeup addiction. I don't think people would buy those things. My cousin had a strange/kinky registry, she didn't get any of that stuff. Everyone seemed to buy the more practical things. Me, I felt funny buying her the chocolate strip tease set and having her open it in front of my family.

Re: Wedding registry question
is she from around here? my bil went to a wedding with hs gf (she was a mb) in ohio or illinois and they registered for monolopy and other games. i found it strangely amusing.
i get that its a wish list, but you can't cook with foot lotion...so i don't see where that comes in.

She's definitely from NY! I would only buy her these things if I could go and watch her open them. Since I cannot attend, I guess I'll just sent a coffee maker or something boring.
