Wedding story..could you imagine..
I just wanted to share this, my work colleague went to a wedding this weekend...the groom showed up AN HOUR LATE and the bride said to him, sorry charlie, its all off. And they then went and had a big party!!!
How amazing is that!
All the grooms family had come over to the UK from Nigeria, friends had come from all over the country, and he was over an hour late!!! Good for the bride for calling it all off...could you imagine.

That's a crazy story. I can't imagine what possibly could happen to warrant the groom being an hour late.
But it also sounds like the bride may have been "looking" for a way out if she just called it off like that.
At least the guests were still able to party. And save the $$ on the gift!

Honestly, she was going to go through with it, she had the dress on and everything. I would guess there was a shadow of a doubt in her mind, they have a kid together!

Yeah, my friend said that the bride did have some doubts. I don't think the groom stayed to party, the grooms brother was severley apologetic on behalf of the whole family.

I agree, I know brides who have been hrs late. Either she wanted an out or he was up to no good to be an hour late.

I agree. If I was the family member that just paid for a flight from Nigeria & the couple didn't have their act together, I'd be pretty annoyed.

ITA. There has to be more to it than that. Sounds like someone was up to no good or maybe he was warned and the bride had it.
