Wedgies Are No Laughing Matter
When considering various methods of inflicting grievous embarrassment on unsuspecting victims, it is important to remember that the condition of having one's undergarments stuck between the buttocks, often resulting from a prankster's yank on one's drawers, is no laughing matter.
Unfortunately, it seems one Albany, N.Y., wedge-ucator failed to get the memo.
Mark Holley, a 41-year-old teacher at New Covenant Charter School, is facing misdemeanor charges of endangering the welfare of a child for giving a wedgie to a 10-year-old pupil, the Associated Press and Albany Times Union report.
Police say that Holley snuck up on the student and yanked his skivvies skyward, while in the locker room at a summer swimming program last year.
The student's mother reported the incident to the school, but the police didn't get word of it until January.
They made the arrest after interviewing both the wedgied and the wedgie-giver.
Why would this teacher do this???? Are misdermeaner charges fair?

I would be livid if a teacher did this to my child. There is no excuse for this and I would hope that this is treated the same as an assault charge.

If that was my kid, that teacher would not only get arrested, but would get an atomic wegie, the kind where you rip the band right off the undies.

if a teacher did that to my kid...I would walk into his classroom...with my big bully cousins at my side and give him a wedgie in front of his whole class...then I would take a picture and send it home to any of the kids who were absent from school that day.

I'm with you on that one.
It still stuns me what teachers used to get away with in my high school. Throwing kids against lockers for goofing off in class, etc.

This is completely wrong inappropriate for so many reasons- one of which is humiliating a student. Don't kids have enough to worry about from other students?
