GLITZY Oscar winner Charlize Theron didn't need a red carpet to show off her modelicious moves Monday night. Spies outside downtown eatery La Esquina saw the star "putting on a show . . . catwalking in front of the restaurant." One bystander asked, "What's wrong with her?" Another told Page Six, "She was doing that walk for almost five minutes." The crowd was soon bored, however, and conversation turned to whispers that Penelope Cruz was inside at a much more subdued table. A rep for Theron had no comment.

Poor Bruce Willis. Almost nine years after he and wife Demi Moore split, he just can't seem to find age-appropriate partners. The 52-year-old actor is now trying out Playmate Tamara Witmer, who at 23 is five years older than his daughter Rumer.

Witmer, for one, isn't bothered by the age difference. "People expect that," she says. She admits being "a little nervous" when she recently met the "Die Hard" star at L.A.'s Peninsula Hotel.

That was after they got to know each other over the phone. "He's got the sexiest voice!" she says. "He's so smooth and suave. I don't mind the bald head. He's really good looking in person."

Witmer thought it was "really tacky" when porn star Alisha Klass "ran to the tabloids and talked about her relationship with Bruce." But that hasn't stopped Witmer from talking with Chaunce Hayden in Steppin' Out and posing for him in a teeny tank top at the Headquarters strip club.

Witmer, who once dated Jean-Claude Van Damme, admits she's gone out with some "a- celebrities," most of whom she met at the Playboy Mansion (where she says even Hef asked her to "come upstairs.")

If Willis doesn't work out, she'd like a crack at the Lakers' Luke Walton, or Owen Wilson - although "I heard he's a real dog." Still, "I love going out with celebrities. I'm always up for it."

Richard Gere and Bollywood actress Shilpa Shetty have been granted a reprieve for that shocking public kiss last month in India. A judge in Rajasthan issued an arrest warrant for Gere and a summons for Shetty after they engaged in the "obscene" act, but India's Supreme Court suspended the case. May they confine their elation to a handshake.

Cameron Diaz and Kate Hudson used a chance meeting in New York to reconcile over lingering rumors about Justin Timberlake, according to a pal.

The "SexyBack" singer attended Hudson's star-studded New Year's Eve bash in Los Angeles, sparking rumors of a hook-up. He and Diaz had recently broken up.

But a friend of one of the actresses tells me: "Kate and Cameron ran into each other outside the bathroom at the Waverly Inn a couple of Saturdays ago. Kate told Cameron: 'I didn't sleep with your man, you know.'"

According to the source, "Cameron teared up, and they hugged."

Hudson had been in town with her new beau, Owen Wilson.

Rashida Jones and John Krasinski, who dated in real life in 2005, play a popular couple on "The Office."

But the two weren't looking likes exes Monday night at the "Shrek the Third" premiere, in which Krasinski voices Lancelot.

Jones snuck in separately to take her place next to Krasinski in the Chelsea Clearview Cinema. We saw them sitting low in their seats and leaning against each other during the screening. And they left together before the film ended.
