Weight gain at 1 month?

DS had his one month Dr. appt yesterday and went from 21" long at birth to 22.75", and from 7lbs 10 oz at birth (7 lbs 5 oz when he left the hospital) to 8 lbs 11 oz.

I thought this was good but the paperwork from the dr said that he is the 18th percentile for weight (84th percentile for height). Should I be concerned?

My oldest is still in the 20th or less percentile for weight and now height.

I hope i am explaining this right, this is how it was explained to me. It's not the amount they gain that matters it's that they stay on the growth curve. The number of thet percentile doesn't mean bad or good.

if your docs not worried, you shouldn't be, that's what i always do.

That's a good Weight gain though for a 1 month old!
