Weight Watchers and nursing
I joined WW a few weeks ago and am just starting to count points (did the 2 week jump start). DD2 is still nursing, but only at night (but like 5 times a day - when I get home from work, before bed and then 2-3 times during the night). 7 points for nursing seems too high - does anyone have any experience with WW while still occasionally nursing? I don't want to not eat enough, but I want to lose! Thanks!

They have a supplementing/starting solid foods one - not sure if that is the 7 points or not. I did it a few years ago and still lost weight w/the extra points. I was supplementing for 3 months before we went full formula. So it worked for me :)

Re: Weight Watchers and nursing
I wasn't losing any weight when I used up the extra points for nursing. So I went back to just the 26 daily points and I just made sure to eat some extra protein and drink lots of water. That's when I started losing again.
I was pumping during the week at that point so I was able to track my milk supply and if it had started to dwindle I would have increased my points a little bit.
ETA if you are only occasionally nursing and have had no issues with milk supply I would not use the extra 7pts.

Thanks guys. I have been using like 29 points a day, and haven't been losing what I would like, so I should probably go down to the 26. Have lost 12.2 in 4 weeks, but 7.4 of it was the first week when I did the jump start. After the first week I average just over 1 lb a week - would like to average 2 lb loss a week.
