Weight Watchers while nursing

Did anyone do weight watchers while nursing? I tried to do it with DD1 and even with the extra points my milk supply decreased and I quit right away. Did anyone do it and not notice a difference in supply? DD2 is 2 months old and I really need to lose the weight!

For pretty much everyone I know--it killed their supply. Myself included. I'm not sure how they came up with this program but the 18 extra points was definitely not enough.

I think a better option would be daily exercise (even if just a 30 min walk) and eating healthy. Don't keep any "bad" snacks in the house to reduce temptation!

It didn't affect my supply at all. Just followed the good health guidelines, and used all my points! I think it is an extra 14 pts though.

Same here. I have been on it for about 2 months and have lost 15bs, and that's with eating the extra points for nursing! DS is 7 mo and I only nurse 2x per day, so maybe that's why my supply hasn't been affected. My suggestion would be maybe wait another month, and when you do start, drink tons and tons of water. Good luck!

Yeah I think its probably best to start dieting after your BM supply has been fully established.
