Weird 4 digit Phone Calls today

Weird 4 digit Phone Calls today
I have so far received 3 phone calls and on the Caller ID comes up
Out of Area and a 4 digit #
Each call was a different number..
What the heck could it be 
I didn't answer them and they didn't leave a message.
Has anyone else gotten these type of calls...
Should I answer the next call?

My husband had 3 of these calls on his cell phone. We don't know who they are, but he didn't want to pick up for fear that it was some foreign country, and as soon as he picked up he would be charged up the wazoo!

i have gotten strange phone calls like that before and i answered.. the person/people were speaking another language and called me a million times for a few days straight.. so finally i googled the numbers and it said they were from iran. i changed my number immediately.

That is weird! A few months ago I got a call from the UAE, but I didn't get charged for it.
