Weird Bug Bite
I got bitten by what looked like a small brown and black fly yesterday. At first it swelled and was itchy like a mosquite bite but now it has grown to about 2 inches....it's red and swollen and feels hard underneath (sorry to be gross). Anyone ever have anything like this? It's not itchy anymore....just painful....

I would go to the doctor. You never know. Ive heard some stories where people get a small bite but what actually happened is the bug laid eggs and they can grow under your skin.

Re: Weird Bug Bite
You might be allergic to the bite - DH is and they swell up to a golf ball sometimes. He usually takes Benadryl and the swelling goes down.

I got a bite a couple of weeks ago and it became HUGE. Turns out, I was just allergic. It started to gradually go down, though. You should see a doctor just in case if you are worried.
