Weird Facebook connections

I just saw that my stepsister's exboyfriend from college, who she's friends with (for some reason) tagged her in a pic. I looked at the pic, and saw he was working for CBS now, and his profile wasn't set to private. Curiosity got the best of me, and I saw we had 2 mutual friends- one, my stepsister, and another, a former colleague from a WHOLE other dimension of my life.

This happened a few other times before, but this connection totally blew my mind. Have you seen things like this happen???

YES! Mostly the weird connection are between here and my "real life".
One of my LIF friends is the SIL of a former co-worker.
Another LIF friend is friends with a college friend. The weird part of this is that he is from Boston and they both now live in Atlanta! They met down there.

I see pictures linked every now and then on a friends page with someone from heres husband. I noticed the last name and was like I know that name from somewhere. The wife is on my list of friends through here.

Yes! I had someone pop up in my "friends you may know", who I didn't know, so I checked to see who we had in common.

Two were from 1 circle of friends and I though, ok, they have a lot of the smae freinds & they knwo a lot of peopel i dont', so that makes sense, but the other one & 1 was from a 2nd circle of friends.

They don't really know each other--they have met at parties I have had. It turns out Mystery girl's BF works with my friend from circle 2 & is friends from HS with the girlfriend of my friend from circle 1.

My BFF roommate from college and I lost touch over the years. She's from Alabama and I'm from Florida. Last week she found me on FB. I only use my current last name, not my maiden name or my XH's name so I was curious how she found me. She went to grad-school in South Carolina with a girl I was really good friends with in HS. They connected the dots and had me in common. Once HS friend had me, college friend found me.

This happened a few weeks ago with YOU of all people! I get the notice that my cousin has been tagged in a picture. I stare at it for a while looking for her but thinking this face looks REALLY familiar. It took me a minute.

This totally happened to me YESTERDAY. A friend from high school confirmed my request and then sent me an e-mail asking how I knew one of our mutual friends... at first, I thought... aren't all of our mutual friends from high school? Nope -- one of them is one of my coworkers now who I didn't meet before I started working there (9 years ago now). SO odd.

yep! totally has to me. people I went to high school with in NY are friends with people from work down here in DC, etc, etc. It's definitely that 6-degrees of separation kind of thing.

yep ,my ex and my friend who lives in my complex !! They know eachother from work
