weird pains coming off BC - non-update UPDATE
ok so I have been off BC for two weeks. got AF about a week ago. since then, my stomach has been all screwed up. i feel bloated, gassy and slightly nauseated. is this me being hypersensitive about every twinge or is there something to this? i sort of feel like puking. anyone experience this coming off BC???

**so i am still feeling nausea and pains in my stomach. not pregnant and not ovulating, according to the OPKs. ugh. i hope this whole "ovaries waking up" thing means O is going to happen soon. FYI it is CD 10.

I had the opposite experience: I was bloated, gassy, and stomachachey while I was ON the pill for years. Coming off of it, I've felt a ton better. So I would say yes, differences in hormones can change the way your stomach operates, for good or for bad. I think that's what's happening, plus you probably are hyper-aware of everything going on in that region because you're looking for it.

i've been off the pill for a few weeks and i've been experiencing everything you described! i've had a decent amount of cramps as well.

yes- it is normal to feel this way b/c your horomone levels are adjusting.

when i first came off i had the same thing. i also had superrrrr sore nipples. i think your body is just adjusting

Oh yeah, I had those too! It literally hurt to pull a t-shirt up over my head. I forgot about that. Lasted a couple of weeks.

I have been off the pill for almost a year and i've had the same symptoms as you. Because I wasn't ovulating when I was on the pill, I didn't feel anything really. Now, I get cramps and back pain a day or two before ovulation...sometimes after ovulation, too. The first month I was freaking out. I thought I was pregnant, but my dr. told me that cramps mid-cycle is a good confirmation that ovulation has occured.

I was sooo bloated coming off the pill. I swear I still am. Haven't quite gotten back to where I was before. I went off in January!!
However, I was on BC for 12 years, so.....
I kept telling my husband we better get moving on the baby thing bc I was looking like I was preggo!

I got off the pill around beginning of April after almost 15 yrs. I had these same symptoms, every single day of my cycle with a cramp, twinges, pain, etc. It was concerning so I went to my Gyn. She did an exam, said everything was normal and basically said 'your ovaries are waking up'. She said they were dormant for so long, that now hormones are being released all month long, and I was not used to it.
