Re: Weird product.
I still can't believe the kid doesn't fall out of it and end up hanging by the strap!

Re: Weird product.
They had that on Martha Stewart. The person raved about how it can convert to even allow an adult to sit in it.
I just don't see how an infant/toddler can.

Re: Weird product.
Yes, I did register for it. It's made by Stokke and gets fantastic raves and reviews. It grows with the baby - so it becomes a child's seat up to adult.
I think it's so much more aesthetically pleasing than the large plastic high chairs that are more mainstream.

$230 & no tray?? Clearly, I am missing something. It's supposed to encourage family time - the chair slides up to the table. No tray.
There is an extra piece for added protection...though the chair really isn't recommended for babies under 6 months.

Re: Weird product.
I've been considering it for my older one, when her bro/sis takes over her high chair. But I'll hold off and see if she even needs a high chair by then.
I like the look, and the concept - I'm just not convinced about the practicality of it yet.

Re: Weird product.
I am not a fan. I don't like how it doesn't recline and there is no padded seat cover. A "reg" highchair can do the same thing. It can adjust up and down and the tray can come off so you can move it up to the table.
I just don't get this one. And for the price

Re: Weird product.
I could not imagine my table taking the beating that the highchair tray takes
I need that big tray to keep the food from falling on the floor.

Re: Weird product.
I have one and I FREAKING LOVE IT. Its soooo much better than a plastic high chair, it cleans much easier, it does come with a cushion. I can bring my son right up to the table and he eats with us just like a grown up. I had a chicco polly, but sold it because it was so difficult to clean. The Tripp Trapp also does have a bar that goes over the front. Also the seat goes up and down, as does the foot rest so you can continue to use the chair for your child up until the age of 5 or 6. I don't think its weird at all. All of my fiends have a Tripp Trapp, plastic high chairs aren't as popular here as they are. Also, IMO its more attractive and modern than the plastic high chairs. I love them! It doesn't need to recline, once your child can sit up, imo the recline feature is redundant (well it was for us) Its a fantastic piece of kit and a real design classic!!!

Re: Weird product.
I also heard great things about the Stokke highchair. I prefer the look of the Svan, but the Stokke is really well regarded.

I'm happy to hear a good review of this chair. I absolutely love it. I really wish I had gotten this instead of the pastic high chair that I have.
