Weird, Random Facebook thing

All of a sudden I have been noticing- for about the past week or so- on my Facebook feed that a post will come up saying- So and So liked this. Whether it be a picture, a status, whatever.

However, the person who did the liking- does not look familiar to me. So I click on them to see if we are friends- because sometimes I will accidentally friend request someone (it's so easy to do when you are scrolling through your newsfeed). And no, we are not friends. And the person who's picture they Liked is not my friend either.

What the heck is this? Where is this coming from? Why am I seeing random likes from people not on my friend list at all?

It has happened about 2 or 3 times in the last week or so.

Anyone else have this happen?

I think its a way for them to push you making friends with people who like the same newsfeed pages that you might. Just more ways to make FB unprivate if you ask me...

Check your "audience" on each picture not your privacy settings. I had done something on my phone on accident once so all pictures I uploaded from my phone (not in the master privacy settings) the audience was public instead of friends and I was getting random likes. I dont remember how I fixed it but if thats the case you can turn each picture back to "friends only"

It's not my pictures being liked by strangers though...it's random pictures from strangers showing up on my news feed because some other stranger liked them.
It is SO odd!

I really think that when you are logged in, it knows your "trends" and makes those kinds of suggestions based on similar likes. I also see this crap all the time.
I also noticed news feed changes. I hadn't looked at a cousins page in forever, and she wasn't coming up on my newsfeed. Mil said, "did you see what she said/did?" Of course, I search her name and since then she's been in my newsfeed alllll the time. I guess FB is getting smarter Chat Icon
