Weird toilet water question
I know it may belong on home but I need higher traffic.
We have town water. For the past like 3 weeks every now and then the toilet would make the filling up sound for a few seconds then stop. It does it for no reason and at random times like 3AM.
Does anyone have any clue why?? It's annoying me.

Yes, ours does this. We know that we have a small leak in the rubber gasket flap seal at the bottom of the tank. The loss of a little water, and the tank gets to a certain level and refills itself. Since our toilet is ancient, we can't get replacement parts, so we're just waiting to get a new toilet all together.

Re: Weird toilet water question
sound like a small leak to me also. We had something like that happen and my DH replaced the "guts" of the toilet and no more running water sounds!!
