Welding and a burned finger
Over the weekend, I had 6 kids over, all 10 or 11 years old. I was teaching them how to weld. 220v electric current, molten metal, red-hot steel, light as bright as the sun....
... and I started the day off burning my finger on the toaster oven heating up a bagel....
I'm VERY careful when I'm teaching kids how to weld... just don't let me in the kitchen....

Bagel came out perfect
It was a 3rd degree burn, from the top heating element directly, so it's still healing, and will most likely leave a scar. There go my plans for being a hand model....
