Well, I did somehting I said I wouldnt do post-pregnancy - don't you dare do this!!!
And I tried on some pre-preggo clothes.
My "fat" clothes.
and guess what - nothing fit.
I was going to my dr. to remove my staples and didnt want to wear sweats (I did)
when I came in - she told me how a lot of my puff went down. I told her I am not fitting into my fat clothes - she said "Dont do that to yourself!" She also said that even if I'm at the same weight I am now when I fit into those clothes, my body shifts and is all different and its going to take a while...
so, I figured I would share with you ladies so you dont do this... I am living in drawstring pants, leggings, sweats, and my big baggy t-shrts. I am home all day anyway.
I just stay away from mirrors and stare at my baby instead.

Liza, we went to a labor/delivery/C-section class last night & the nurse (who also had 5 boys) said do yourself a favor, it will be at least 2 weeks until you get some semblance of order in your body (& your uterus going back down), she said just wear your maternity clothes and NOT get on a scale.

I can tell you that 6 years later, even though I'm tiny, I am a different shape than I was before DD. My hips spread out some and it changed how things fit me. I eventually shrank to much smaller than my pre-pregnancy weight and still had some items that never fit again b/c of the shape change. You simply cannot let it get to you. And yes, I lived in sweats and stretchy waisted skirts for a few weeks. I plan on doing it again in a couple months.

This is why I am not buying any clothes expecting to be pre-pregnancy weight.
My belly will be like jelly fish and it's OK.
I wish doctors or classes would explain to their patient that aspect.
It seems like you are only being taken care of until you have the baby, then you are left on your own to figure it out.

Thanks for sharing ladies - I have to say - everyone who visited me at the hospital, and the drs, nurses, etc, all said I look great and dont even look like I had a baby (remember - I never really did get that big) - all the other mommies still looked pregnant after giving birth, and my friends all asked me why I didnt have that belly - so I am not as upset as I expected to be, which is why I was surprised to see that my fat clothes didnt fit - I thought for sure they would...
I did say I was going to stay away from my pre-preggo clothes, and now I will, because I will get depressed if I keep trying to wedge my hips into these jeans...

I have not tried on any pre-pregnancy clothes.... I am still wearing some maternity clothes that are smaller that I wore in the begininng of my pregnancy. I have to say I gained 43 lbs and lost 33 already (I was very swollen most of it was water) I only have 10 lbs to go, but my stomach is shaped completely different then it was before!!!! so I know nothing will fit.. I have to get rid of my pouch!!!

I can't believe that I only lost 5 pounds in the hospital! So I knew it was going to be time for the weight to come off.
All those hormones and weight - no wonder we get the baby blues!
Hang in there - it is true waht they say - it took 9 months to put on - give yourself 9 months to take off.

I only lost 8 pounds in the hospital - and Cailen weighed 6.8!!!!
I was like - what???
but I weighed myself today, and lost 20 pounds of the 40 I gained - only 20 to go... hopefully that will be gone in another week, but I doubt it!!!
