Went bathing suit shopping today
It's official...I'm in one-piece land for good. I just don't feel comfortable in a two-piece anymore...plus, I don't think a two-piece is practical with the way DD plays. Anyway....I walked out with a black one-piece and I got home and tried it on again...I can honestly say it's the first time I've actually felt pretty comfortable in a suit! All those years of wearing two pieces...I was so self-conscious...it feels good to be a little more covered.
No point to this post, really.

I went too
You had a MUCH better experience than I did.
The last time I wore a two piece, Reagan was our president, so I didn't even try those.
I guess I'll be wearing this look on the beach this summer...
Who's with me? If enough of us wear one we'll be "trendy". Image Attachment(s):

I went to Bloomies and I was SO surprised at all the bikinis...I mean, let's be serious....unless you're under 25 and without a kid, who wears these triangles?? They really need to broaden their selection.

I know... if I own dishtowels that are bigger than the top and bottom put together, well then.
Oh, now I do remember seeing my mom rockin' a bikini after I was born but she was 8 years younger than I am and she was carrying one. It's not the weight that's the issue for me, it's the skin

Re: Went bathing suit shopping today
I think I'm going to be sporting a one piece this summer also. I don't even want to look at those little bikini's that I have in my drawer. And - Jack is sooooo all over the place - I can def. see putting on a show that NO ONE wants to see!

Re: Went bathing suit shopping today
I wore a tankini with short bottoms on our cruise and they were comfy.
I don't forsee a bikini ever again for me---and I'm not that upset about it.

Re: Went bathing suit shopping today
I went last weekend. ughhhhhh...at least with a two piece I could mix and match sizes...
my jugs don't fit into anything unless the *** is sagging.
but, I am glad you posted, it put a positive spin on the experience.

Not to be gross but it has nothing to do with my paleness. My belly stretched a lot farther than most being pg with twins (no stretch marks though). At my age, the skin will not bounce back , it's stretched out a bit and well, there's a bit extra now. Doesn't matter how thin I am, I have a bit of extra skin there Guess, I'd be a perfect candidate for surgery but I'm not going there. My belly is but my DC's are

Re: Went bathing suit shopping today
I am "hoping" to go back into my pre-baby bathing suits.
I have those tankinis and skirt bottoms. There were cute so I hope I can fit back in them. I have not try yet.

why can't you be 30 and wear the triangle bikinis? I'm not even 30 - I'm 28 and less than my pre-pregnancy weight. Everyone says I am thin, and I am....but things are different now after the baby...I used to have the most perfect boobs...pregnancy and breast feeding changed them. I feel more comfortable with them a bit more covered now. Same with my belly. I work out all the time too....I just feel personally ready for a one-piece.

I am gonna try some on to see what I look like but my boobs definitly deflated after 2 pgs so I am not sure about those little bathing suits I use to sport.

My pre-preggo tankinis fit obviously dont look as good but my boobs are the main issue. I bought this from Spiegel. I feel more comfy in it. I AM IN A "MOM" SUIT Image Attachment(s):

Re: Went bathing suit shopping today
Alicia, you have a killer body and you know it, but the thing is how YOU feel about it...and if it makes you feel comfortable being in one-piece then go for it...my pregnancy thank God has left me with no stretch marks, but I have a flobby body which I need to tone. I want to wear a two-piece this summer for sure though! I saw these cute tw-piece bathing suits in Newport News...with the skirted bottoms, halter tops with the extra support...really cute and cheap. And I think thats what I'm going to go with.
