Went from low milk supply to leaking all over the place...help!

I am exclusively pumping. I really started pumping more within the past week to get my milk supply up. Well, apparently it worked because now I have started leaking and am producing a lot! I have started pumping every 4-5 hours instead of every 2-3 in hopes that it will help. Any other tips to cut down on my supply? Is there anything I can do about the leaking? Chat Icon

I would continue pumping & freeze what you can for now.

For the leakage, get the nursing pads to put in your bra.

Once your body regulates itself, you should be fine.Chat Icon

The only thing to do about the leaking is get some good nursing pads. I really like the Lansinoh brand ones. They absorb very well and are pretty discreet.

I just bought the Lansinoh brand pads today! I haven't used them yet, but I'm glad you like them.

I am a major leaker Chat Icon . Lanisonoh disposable pads were my best friend for the first 5 months, then I was able to use the washable kind. At just about 8 months I have been able to stop wearing them all together. My milk would always let down on both sides when I was feeding -- it was annoying, but it has finally stopped. Once your supply evens out you should be fine. I think it's pretty unusual to have leaking for as long as I did.

On the other hand -- congrats on your supplly! I know you were working on it.
