Went to an open house this weekend for fun
In Northport, and the house was cute, but so small. Like, dollhouse small. So, the realtor was also the homeowner and she called to ask if we were interested. I told her (we aren't REALLY looking; it was just to see what's out there) politely that it was a little on the small side for us. She goes, "Don't you have a townhouse?" Real snotty....and I said, "Yes, I do, but my master bedroom is larger than your second floor." Not to be a total B....but come on, don't assume that b/c I have a townhouse that it's tiny. And it's true. Her top floor was 2 bedrooms, and my master is about the size of the two combined. I probably couldn't get my furniture in......

People get very defensive about their homes...... If she is going to have that type of attitude, she shouldn't try to sell it herself!

Yeah that is wrong. I had a person say something like that to me when we were renting. I moved from a huge victorian & one of the houses we saw was a very small ranch. The RE guy was like, well at least its a whole house. I was like, really, cuz right now I have 4 BR & walk in closets in each room....your ranch is 2 br with no closets

I've heard the same thing! And we are actually looking to upgrade from our condo to a townhouse because all the homes we saw in the same price range were so much smaller than the townhouses!

I don't get her thinking at all. Even if you were currently living in a tiny place (not that you really are), why would she assume that you want to move to another tiny place?
