Went to Dream Dinners last night...

Last night I decided to check out Dream Dinners for the first time. Liz went a few months ago and kept saying how awesome it was. Basically they do all the shopping, pre-paring, etc. and you just go and assemble the meals. You select 6 or 12 meals of 3 or 6 servings and assemble them all there. Then you take them home and each Sunday take 3 out of the freezer that you will make during the week. They all come with instructions of how to prepare each meal...so easy!

When we got there the owners greeted us warmly and showed us where everything was. You have your own drawer to hold all your personal items, your own freezer shelf to store the food as you make it and your own apron. You wash your hands and then you start assembling. I do Weight Watchers and all the meals come with the nutritional information so I was able to point out each meal so at night I know exactly what I am having. Most meals are under 300 calories a serving which is great for dinner.

Pacific Cod with Sweet Potato Fries

Meatloaf Milano with Mashed Potatoes

Sweet Cider BBQ Chicken

Steak Gorgonzola

Chicken Mirabella

Depending on what you select the price works out to around $4-$5 a serving. So it is easy and saves money rather then ordering take out or buying all the special ingredients to make each separate meal. I look forward to trying my first meal tonight!

LOVE Dream Dinners!

I was impressed how clean & easy it all was.

My freezer is stocked with healthy delicious meals that will be quick & easy to make when I'm way too tired to cook at night! DH likes this!

I had such a great time that I signed up for next month already! The menu for August are the favorites voted on by Dream Dinner members... I picked one of just about everything!

sounds just like a company we have down here in Virginia, Let's Dish. But that menu sounds delish!

Def post reviews as you eat the meals. I've been trying to get my LI friends to find something similar and this may do the trick!
