Went to see my doctor
I have mentioned before that I have Crohn's disease and I'm on 3 different medications so I was nervous about TTC while on them. So I went to my specialist in the city today and he told me I am in the perfect place to start TTC. I am in remission and am now on the lowest dose of meds ever and they are all safe during pregnancy. He just wants me to go to get a colonoscopy to make sure it's all clear Not looking forward to that. But DH and I have decided that I will take my final pill pack in August and then we'll let nature take it's course . Speaking to him really put my mind at ease. Now all I have to do is find a new OBGYN that is affiliated with North Shore Manhasset because that is where he recommended I give birth ( I will have to have a c-section). Just wondering if anyone has any recommendations, I'll also do a search. TIA!

I use an OB/GYN who is affliated with NSUH Manhasset - If you don't want a male there are women dr's in the office that are also very good.
Dr. Victor Klein - he is considered one of the top dr's on the Island in his field - btw he is also high risk (but does regular pregnancies as well) so he might be perfect for you if you have complications with the Crohns.
He is on Northern blvd in Great Neck.

My doctor is affiliated with both North Shore-Manhasset, and LIJ. She is located in Lake Success and is an absolute sweetheart! If you want her info, let me know.

Just wanted to let you know my DH has Diverticulitis and had to get a colonoscopy. The WORST part was drinkng the prep fluid. Luckily the have a pill you can take now so ask your DR. They will put you to sleep so you shouldn't feel anything! Good luck

Thank you everyone! I am in Massapequa so I'd prefer Nassau county and I've always gone to a woman, but I'm not dead set on it. Thanks very much for the recommendations, I will look into them! to you all!

You can go onto the hospital's website and search some doctors. You can research any doctor I love my OBGYN -

My doctor is affiliated with North Shore, Dr. Gilbert. Her offices are in Commaclk and Great Neck. I live in Lindenhrst and it takes us 20 minutes to each.
