We're back! thank you GOD! what an adventure!!!
DH and I drove to OH for Christmas. on the way home yesterday we broke down on I-80 in the middle of NOWHERE, PA. the serpentine belt came off the car  
we got towed, got the part fixed and were back on I-80 heading east 2 1/2 hrs later. it could have been SO MUCH WORSE! AAA and the people we dealt with are a blessing! and I learned a lesson. I will no longer think of people in rural areas as 'dumb hicks' (shame on me!). they bailed us out in a HUGE WAY yesterday. we could have been stranded for days or paid enormous amounts of money to get the car fixed.
please, if you do not have AAA, get it TODAY! it is worth every PENNY!

glad you made it back! AAA is a lifesaver. Route 80 is the worst road in the world....sooooo boring and there is almost nothing between the poconos and pittsburgh except for State College, PA (Penn State).

ugh! glad everything worked out and you made it home safe!
i know that part of 80 TOO well- DHs family lives out in altoona, PA and my friend lives in bloomsburg, so we have to take 80 to get to both places... its not fun, lol and that whole area just creeps me out! waaay too in the middle of the middle of nowhere for me!
