We're taking this cycle off

Went to dr. yesterday after getting AF on Tuesday. Our regular doctor is on vacation so we saw the director who actually did our last IUI. He seemed genuinely disappointed that it didn't work. He brought up IVF but I told him we're not covered so it's out of the question. I asked if he thought another IUI would be worthwhile. He said yes, but he wants us to take this cycle off to rest my ovaries. I have to go back on 5/14, which should be a week before my next AF, to see my regular dr. to discuss another round of IUI.

We were disappointed yesterday because doing nothing makes me nervous about wasting time. But at the same time, I think we really needed a break to clear our minds and try to get healthier.

DH said wouldn't it be wonderful if we got pregnant on our own this month? Hey, I believe in miracles!!

Anyway, I'm trying to think positive and get myself rested and ready for next cycle.

Helen you have such a powerful positive attitude which is inspiring. You deserve only good things and I truly hope this break will bring you peace and relaxation. Your time will come...I truly belive that. And you're absolutely right...miracles happen everyday Lots of love to you

I'm glad that you guys were able to be at peace with taking the month off and you are totally right, miracles happen all the time!!! for this upcoming cycle!

AF just showed up for me today and I have decided to take May off from all treatments. My body and mind need a rest, especially after having gone through OHSS this month.

I know what you mean; I am so tired. A rest sounds really good.

I know a few people who got a miracle in their off cycle. You never know.

Relax and just enjoy doing stuff without DR appts etc... I've got that right now and it's sort of really nice. But, I know I go in on May 5th, so I have that in the future. They always tell you to have a plan.

I decided to take this month off too. It feels nice to not have to worry about Dr. appointments.
