We've had a little bit of a vomit situation here and I was wondering...

Yesterday, Abby (8 mos.) threw up the entire contents of her stomach after lunch--luckily it was only about 5 minutes later and it was only applesauce and formula. Otherwise, she was acting fine. We put her to bed last night and all seemed fine, but we found her sleeping in vomit when she awoke Chat Icon Again, she seems fine mostly, so I don't think I need to call the ped yet. So...

I gave her a very small bowl of oatmeal only and a 7oz bottle. This is the question...

Should I give her the Isomil soy instead of her normal Similac Advance...figuring it's better to avoid milk products (as she's also had some "interesting" diapers Chat Icon)? Any other advice?

I agree. We just went through this same thing at my house last week Chat Icon Chat Icon. It was a LONG week with MANY MANY MANY messy diapers in the process. However, I was afraid to change his formula b/c then I wouldn't know fi he was reacting to the change or still sick... KWIM? HTH and Chat Icon that your baby girl is much much better soon. It's funny though b/c my DS was perfectly fine other than the couple vomit episodes and the messy diapers for over a week.

I don't think I would upset the apple cart either...Just leave her on the Similac for now. Her diapers are going to be funky with this virus or whatever is going around. I hope she feels better soon! Chat Icon

I wouldn't change the formula but if she continues to throw up I would stop it all together. No foods or formula...give her pedialyte for at least 24 hours to see how she is...then slowly mix her formula back in.

But this is only if she continues to throw up...she might have the stomach virus. I hope not! Chat Icon
