What a difference a new job makes!
I'm the only jewish person in my new office, and yet, the director just came to my desk to wish me a happy passover, and to chat about Alex, and our plans for tonight (which have been cancelled because Alex is sick... boohoo!)
In the three years that I worked at my former firm none of the partners EVER asked about Alex, and no one EVER acknowledged the jewish holidays - they just always wished me a happy Easter and Merry Christmas 
What a difference

I worked for a CPA firm a while ago and the partner used to always wish me a nice holiday for the Jewish holidays, even though I told him a hundred times I'm Christian (I have a jewish last name!!) He meant well
