As I wrote the other day we had to bring dd to the doctor for a cough and/or ear infection. We didnt get home until 930 pm. Doctor told us dd was contagious and to keep her out of daycare. Dh and work at the same place and I both had to work the next day and we decided to split the day with her with me in the am and with him in the pm. We were both off monday and tuesday and again tomorrow. I didnt want to have to take another day off. I was going to call my supervisor to ask if that was okay but it was late already.
Came to work with dd and got there before everyone (small office). Supervisor came in and I explained situation and she said it was fine with her but she wasnt sure how the director would be about it.
Director came in and did not say a word to me about dd..commented about my straight hair but not dd.
Today my supervisor told me that she met with the director and director was very annoyed with me for bringing dd and that I should have A) gotten permission first or B) took the day off. I undertstand her point but under the circumstances I could not have done either. I also find it weird that she would have an issue being that she is a mom herself and that we work at a college and summer is so slow here.
