What a WASTE of a beautiful day
Madelyn has been a mess with her sleep lately. She was up most of last night, so she's cranky today. I put her down a little early for her nap (10am). She was up for an hour talking, then yelling for me (I give her an hour in her room regardless of whether she goes to sleep or not).
I go in after an hour and she's pooped. I change her and she's now ASKING to go *night night*  I lay her down- she stays awake for another 20 minutes. JUST as I'm about to go in- she falls asleep. In the meantime, Eliza wakes up from her nap.
It's now 2 hours from when Maddie fell asleep and I just put Eliza down for nap #2- and I hear Maddie just starting to stir.
This has been going on since 10. It's 75 degrees here and I am HOUSEBOUND.

I feel your pain  .. I did get out a little.. but S has been super crankie. tried her first nap at 9:30 am.. she just cried entire time. Now on second nap.. thank goodness she finally passed out. Now K is up..

I would of went out anyway for a drive or something, and let them sleep in the car!! lol

I'm so sorry  We managed to make it out around 4, but I'm still really sick, so I didn't enjoy myself very much.
I agree with the OP, stick 'em in the car next time and at least take a drive down Ocean Parkway  One of things I miss most about living on LI.

Yea we almost had a waste of a day too. I worked until 12:30, then ran a few errands and picked Kaydyn up at my mom's at 2. Immediately she fell asleep in the car and I took her home and put her in the crib and she slept until 5:30pm. It was still nice out so we took her outside for a little bit after she woke up.
