What age can you give Chocolate Milk?
Don't worry - I'm not planning on giving my 13 month old chocolate milk...  but I was wondering when it is appropriate?
It's such a struggle to get DS to drink his milk... He just isn't interested in it...

Michael is 22 months and I have not given him chocolate milk yet. I should try it though.

My kids have had it and I am not sure of the age, but I would assume it was sometime between 16 and 18 months. As a treat, and it is always the kind I make (never store bought). I put a drop of chocolate or strawberry syrup in their milk. Less sugar than giving them a cup of juice.

nothing wrong with giving him chocolate....I give it to mikayla as a treat, maybe once a week (she is almost 15 months)

DS has had nesquick (the powder which has less sugar) since about 18 months everyday. He had stopped drinking milk out of the cup so I tried it and it worked. I usually put about a teaspoon in a 9oz. cup of milk so is very light.

Does he have it in every cup of milk? I ask because DS will take a couple of sips from his cup and that's it!! He loves those Yo Baby drinkable yogurts, so I'm thinking if I sweetened up his milk, he'd drink more of it. I also noticed that Nesquick is calcium fortified.

Maybe you can try Ovaltine...I think it's got even less sugar than syrups or Nesquick powder...and has more nutrition.

He only has 1-2 cups per day so it really isn't alot and I did run it by my ped. She rather him have the chocolate milk and drink the milk that way than nothing at all.

We tried chocolate soy milk and he hates it! We tried organic chocolate milkk and he hates it. So, that's it. No more trying until he asks for it
