DS is 14 months and no full, clear words yet. Should I be worried? TIA Chat Icon

Nah I don't think you need to worry yet.

Is he babbling?

Do you get mama and/or dada?

My 16 month old doesn't talk yet, just babble. He'll say mama and dada but not all the time.

I wouldn't worry just yet. I've been told 18 months you could see more words and definitely by 2 years.

A problem would be if your child was speaking words and stopped...but i'm sure they'll pop out soon!

Re: What age did your child say full, clear words?

We just had our DD 1 year well visit and she was impressed that she said more than two words. She said that by 15 months they should have one word(DaDa, MaMa etc) by 18 months, 3 words and by two about 5-7 words.

Of course I have the DD who won't shut up-hmmm who does she get that from?Chat Icon

He says mama & dada, but not calling us you know. Sometimes he will repeat things, like dog, and duck, but it sounds like Daw, and Duh, nothing clear. He does babble all day long. He has his own language. Chat Icon
