On or about 4 months I would start using. I had the Prima Pappa Peg perego with my 1st son and I did not love it. I got the Chicco Polly High Chair Sahara for my 2nd son and I highly recommend it. I bought it at Babies R Us.

Re: What age do you need a highchair?

We started at about 5 months, we have a chicco polly, but there are way too many nooks and crannies for us. I got a babydan feeding chair instead (like a Stokke TrippTrapp) and I find is much better, easier to use, comes right up to the table, easier to clean. I love it. Wish I had gotten that right from the start. My Chicco Polly is currently on Ebay...

That's why I asked, Christopher whines if we are eating in the dining room and he is in his swing. He can see us and wants to join in.

We started at 4 months - when the doctor had her start solids.

We have one that we put Paige in right away. Its made by Fisher Price. It it has a high back and it leans back for head support. Paige was the same way, she wanted to be at the table with us. They sell it at Target, atlhough i got mine on Amazon (oh, its a space saver one, it attaches to the chair)
