What age is your child when you start going to sleep after them?

My DD is 11 and she fights going to sleep before 10 or 10:30 om weekends. Thats my bedtime every day! She is in bed at 9 on school nights.

I dont feel safe about going to sleep before her just yet but i know its coming.

yea I would go to sleep before her on the weekend unless she has an extracurricular activity or something you guys have to do in the morning? I know I was goung to sleep after my aunt at that age and my SS was definitely going to sleep after us.

Unless there is a cause for concern, like you think she might sneak out or harm herself etc.. But in my case or SS case he was watching TV or paying video games.

Well my kids are still in the younger grades, but my mom was a night owl and she does not go to bed until 2 am. I don't think I ever went to bed after her when I lived in their house.

On the weekend DS stays up til whenever he wants bc I cant stand the fighting. Usually it's like 11. I dont sleep well so I am always up later

I still don't like going to sleep before my kids, but it was at about 13 that I did it on weekends. Weekdays she goes to bed around the same time as me.

My 11 year old daughter goes to bed around 10-11pm during the week and sometimes later on weekends. She's in 6th grade. My older boys 12 and 16 vary between 11-12 depending on how exhausted they are :) I almost always go around 11:30.
