What am I missing from my Chanukah get together menu? Input needed....
I am having 19 family members for a Chanukah open house in a little bit over a week. It is a buffet. Am I missing anything?
This is what I am serving/putting out so far:
Franks in a blanket, mini potato pancakes, applesauce, sweet and sour meatballs.
Kosher deli platter- corned beef, pastrami, salami,turkey, roast beef
Rye bread
Mustard
Russian dressing
Potato salad
macaroni salad
cole slaw
Fried chicken
Roasted Chicken
Hummus and pita chips
Pretzels
Potato chips
Soda,coffeee, tea
cakes, jelly doughnuts , chocolate coins ( gelt) etc.
Am I missing anything? This is the first time I am hosting this, and want to make sure I cover all bases- my family is still talking about the spread I put out for break the fast , I want this to be just as yummy and good!

ETA Pickles, sour tomatoes, etc. I forgot to put that in originally!

You are missing ME on the guest list!
It sounds fabulous - truly. I'd possibly add pumpernickle slices to make the presentation prettier.. and have some rolls around in case you have people who don't like that type of bread.
And pickles. I loooove garlic dill pickles from my favorite kosher deli.
All the salads have mayo.. so maybe some non mayo options.. like a big green salad and a corn salad, rice salad or pasta salad.

Looks great. I would add sour cream for the latkes. Maybe a veggie platter?
I did notice you are having a Kosher platter, but you are serving Pigs in a blanket?

I am using Hebrew National franks in a blanket. I am not too religious ( more traditional) - but a few people that are coming keep Kosher. I can't put out the sour cream b/c of milk and meat. Bummer!

LOL I have an IDENTICAL menu (down to the same Hebrew Naational franks) for my early Chanukah gatehering this weekend. In addition to your list, my mom is making a kugel and I'm making a salad. Hopefully that'll be enough food to keep everyone happily stuffed.

Ha... we're having a family Hanukah party too this weekend in NJ. My in-laws side is so big so all the cousins get together.
what about chopped liver and crackers?
