What an afternoon/night! (UPDATED at bottom!) I could really use some BTDT moms!
Emily woke up out of her nap earlier then usual and HYSTERICALLY crying, saying that her belly hurt.
She was incosolable....screaming at the top of her lungs. I tried giving her something to eat (thinking hungry), tried having her go potty but she wouldn't go, and tried water too.
We had to pick DH up from work bc he doesn't drive, and she was screaming the whole way there, so we went straight to PM Pediatrics in Syosset.
The checked her all out, took a urine sample to test for a UTI (having a 3 year old pee in a cup is interesting!), and ended up doing x-rays and she was all backed up with poop!
I had a feeling it was that because since we potty trained her she holds it in, hates pooping on the potty. She didn't go yesterday or today, and went the day before that but it was a small one.
The ended up giving her an enema  and she still wouldn't go, and finally I had DH go to the car and get her portapotty and we put that on the floor of the bathroom and she went within seconds.
She was instantly feeling better and was back to her normal self, being silly and talking up a storm.
I felt so bad for her. We need to follow up with the pediatirician but the doc we saw tonight said they'll probably put her on Miralax or Colace for constipation.
I felt so bad for her!!!!

I am having the same problem with Andrew I was told I have to give him his next enema next week but I am brining him to the ped instead. The miralax doesn't work for him

Update: Now she has been having diarrhea all day ----- there is no warning, so barely any time to get her to the potty. We've gone thru 4 pairs of undies already today. Is this from the enema? Or maybe does she have a stomach virus and it is unrelated?
I feel bad for her.
