What are some good ideas for meals??
Just wanted to get some suggestions for some Healthy Meals! I want to make sure I am taking care of myself and my little one. My hardest meal is lunch since I am on the go a lot ( not in an office environment).
So I need suggestions that I can get on the run in a deli for lunch? Or should I just try to pack lunch?
What are you eating for breakfast?
Snacks?
Dinners?
Thank you ladies!!!!

Yes, That's why I am having such a difficult time at figuring out what to eat. I would usually run into a deli and pick up a wrap with Turkey and cheese or create something at the salad bar....but now I will not get either.
Maybe I will be better off just packing lunch.

That's not true. Everything in moderation is okay. As long as you're not eating it every day then you should be fine. You could also add in chicken breast sandwiches, salads with chicken on top. There's not much that you can't find on the go.

Yes. Tuna is fine in moderation. Limit it to a few times a month.
I have eaten deli meat like there is no tomorrow- but always make sure it's from a clean, reputable place where the meat moves. Order Boar's Head since that moves the most.
Just remember all deli meats have tons of sodium- so if you are swelling at all, you;ll want to limit that too.

Re: What are some good ideas for meals??
Breakfast ideas that I eat: -cereal (Cheerios, Raisin Bran etc) -mulit-grain toast with organic peanut butter -egg whites scrambled -multi-grain waffles
Snacks -yogurt -almonds -raisins -ANYTHING chocloate (lol) -Kashi bars -carrots & hummus -green apples (I'm obsessed with them lately)
Lunch -salads -pb&j -grilled cheese w/ tomato
Dinner -turkey meatloaf -turkey chili -grilled chicken -chicken cutlets -all with a side of some veggie
And don't forget dessert!! I crave something sweet after dinner almost ever night now. Usually go for green apples with peanut butter or girl scout cookies

Re: What are some good ideas for meals??
I am a little different because I am a vegetarian, so I have to try and get protein in whatever ways I can....here is what I typically eat:
Breakfast: - multi-grain cheerios or a multigrain bagel with low fat cream cheese - OJ with calcium - banana
Lunch: - Special K protein meal bar - fruit -fat free yogurt
Snacks: - raisins - ice cream - soy milik - cheese and whole grain crackers - soy nuts - hummus and pretzels/carrots
dinners: - bean burritos - salads - Subway sandwich (veggie with cheese) - pasta - veggie dumplings and edamame

Re: What are some good ideas for meals??
From the deli I have ordered turkey sandwiches - I ask them to just heat up the turkey in the microwave for 30 seconds before they put it on the sandwich.
Egg salad is good, lots of protein.
Cheese, lettuce, and tomato
Egg whites with cheese and tomato
Chicken cutlet sandwiches (heated)
Salads
Soups
