I've heard putting aloe on an ingrown hair will force it to dry out. I tried it once and it seemed to do the trick.

I usually pry it out with a needle and clean the needle and the area with alcohol.

A VERY warm compress, like a washcloth or something. Hold it on the ingrown hair for a few minutes and usually that will draw it out.

do warm/hot compresses, that usually will draw the hair to the surface...but you still might need help getting it out, and getting the spot cleaned up.
