Which sports are not safe to play in the begining stages of pregnancy? DH and i play tennis all the time, but someone told me that its not safe. Is that true?

As you progress in your second trimester your balance goes off a little so things like rollerblading, bicycling, and maybe tennis - depending on how you're feeling. If you're afraid of taking a ball to the abdomen then I'd stay clear. In the pregnacy books they suggest doing things like swimming or walking.

I would stay away from sports that invlove contact or have a decent liklihood of you taking a fall or impact to the belly.

Re: What are some restrictions?
i wouldn't be running around the course...but if you guys are just hitting back and forth - I would say OK (if you have been doing it beofre pregnancy)
I did notice that quickly into pregnancy - it was harder to bounce - boobs and belly
I would get a pregnancy belt too
