What are some words that you don't like your DC saying(aside from the obvious ones-LOL)

For me, I can't stand when DC says ....


stupid or hate


These words really bug me (though I am guilty of them myself I'm sure) I really try to have them replaced by "silly" and "dislike"

retard. I am a special ed teacher and I will take my son saying the f word over retard. AND I HATE when adults say it too. It makes me cringe. I have a cousin who has been diagnosed with Mental retardation so I am very sensitive to it!

My 20 something old brothers taught DS to say this and I told them when they get married and have kids I will let my kids teach them all of the naughty words. It really angered me that they would teach that to a then 2 year old.

the same as above - hate and retard make me cringe. Thankfully I haven't had to deal with that yet.

Boring is another one. That's a carryover from my childhood. My stepmom would not allow us to say it. If we were bored, we didn't complain about it, we did something about it! (I imagine having 5 kids complain about being bored would make her wish that word was never created!) I have no idea where DD heard the word. She's too young to tell me she doesn't want to do that because it's "boring"! But she uses it in the wrong context most of the time so she really doesn't know what it means.

Stupid is not allowed to be used in our home - DS said it once it the car and after dealing with my wrath - never again.

My DD is not there yet but some words I will not tolerate are:

Retard
Stupid
Hate

Any kind of talking back

My nephew has already taught her "Diarrhea" fart noise- fart noise- fart noise and it annoys me sooo bad!!!
