What are the chances someone will hire me now???
I have an interview this week and she knows I am due in the end of March.
It's not really my dream job, but it might have potential, so it's worth meeting with her. (What else do I do all day?!)
I also sent my resume to a job, which I would love. Do you really think they would consider a person who potentially cannot start for another 2 months? (Peronally I think I am perfect for the position) I would even start now if they wanted and return as soon as possible.
Do you think I am just wishful thinking?

Re: What are the chances someone will hire me now???
Depends if they need someone right away. Honestly, as someone who does some hiring around my company - it would make me a little nervous to offer a job to someone who could potentially change her mind, but if it was a perfect match, I'd consider it
Good luck!

I know......I hope they don't see me as someone who would apply if they were not serious about it.

I agree. As an employer, I would be a little concerned that you may change your mind after having the baby, and then I'd have to start the whole interview process all over again.
Sorry, just being honest.

At the interview, I would make it completely clear that you NEED a job for financial reasons, and are unable to stay home with your child. Whether or not this is true, it doesn't make a difference.... I think bluntly laying out that info will reassure the employer that you are not likely to change your mind......
good luck

No, don't appologize. I wanted to hear others say, what I guess I know deep down.
I just wish they could know I am serious. I have been without work for months It figures now I find this one position that I would be a fit for!
While I don't want to return to work, I know it's best of myself, my , and my DH & I.

It's a Director position. I had been doing similar work for 6+ years when I was still in NY.

Re: What are the chances someone will hire me now???
Personally, I wouldn't hire someone who was about to give birth and go out on maternity leave. But then again, I wouldn't set up an interview if I knew beforehand so maybe there is a chance with the first one.
