do you have a sonogram scheduled?
it's possible to be able to see baby at 16 weeks, but it's easier to see 20 weeks and after, hence why most sonos are scheduled for week 20.
i had mine at week 20 and 22, and both times baby was curled up. so we still don't know the sex of baby, and probably won't find out until the big day.

They told us at our 12 week sono, but she did say not to go out and buy anything just yet, to wait until the 20 sono to be sure

when I was at the dr at about 15 weeks he said it was too early to tell and that if they did guess they couldnt guarentee anything - they told me that at 20 weeks is when they can tell.
I found out we were having a girl at 20 weeks.

I would say earliest 18 Weeks more toward 20 Weeks would be most accurate...
