What are the pros & cons of having a Double Stroller?
DS will be 2y4m old when #2 is born, and I wasn't considering getting a double stroller, because I already have two strollers. I'm not sure if it's practical to have separate strollers for each child because then it would mean two people would have to navigate, so I was wondering what you may have experienced.
All/any information is appreciated!

Re: What are the pros & cons of having a Double Stroller?
HI!
Not that it's helpful but if and when the time comes I plan to get a double stroller since there will be so many times it's just me...so easier to get around. But no new single stroller...the new baby would use my DS's stuff if we were just the two of us.

At that age I would get a sit n stand. I just sold my double and DS is 25 months old. It was getting heavy to push around. You definitly need something when you are alone. When it is Dh and I, we will put DD in the stroller and DS in the cart of the store or he will walk (then need to be carrier because he gets tired) or we use 2 strollers.

No experience yet but I am going to go with the Sit N Stand from One Step Ahead.

It's going to be just me with the two quite a few times, too... don't know what I was thinking believing I didn't need more strollers. Maybe I thought I'd use the Baby Bjorn with the infant, and stroller for DS? Or that DS would walk more.

Thanks ladies, for the Sit n Stand suggestions. I think it's practical, but what if both kids are napping, where would I put #2?

If your is stroller napper than I would get a side by side double. The front seat on a tandum barely reclines. I guess you could put him on the back but if he throws a fit he might end up kicking the front seat plus he really won't fit to well back their.

Re: What are the pros & cons of having a Double Stroller?
I have a side by side stroller (Maclaren Twin). The sit and stand wasn't an option for me because both my kids nap (they are 22 months apart) and that seat for the toddler is uncomfortable and DS would not sit still in there.
With my Maclaren, they can both nap at the same time without a problem.
Getting a double stroller was a must have for me..We are out and about alot, so I needed to have something to put both of them in.

I have a sit and stand and love it. You really do need one unless you plan on always going out with someone else, but that might not always be feasible.
DS is 2 and is old enough to sit, and DD has the infant carrier in the front. Mine is lightweight and handles great. It's the One Step Ahead and I got it at Target.
