What are the signs that your baby doesn't want to be swaddled anymore?
DD used to sleep through the night (8 -8), but now its more like 8-5 again. She sleeps great swaddled until 5am and then she sounds like she fighting with all her might to get out of it.
I'm not sure if its that she doesn't want to be swaddled or if she's hungry and wants to put her hand in her mouth and can't. She uses the miracle blanket and has managed to get an arm out once this week.
I give her the bottle at 5am, swaddle and put her back down but she never goes back to sleep until I take her out of the swaddle and put her on her belly. Then she'll sleep 5 more hours!

One night we just didn't swaddle Luca and he was fine. Up until that point he really "needed" to be swaddled or he would't sleep for longer than 2-3 hours at a time.

I don't swaddle Steven, so I'm not too sure. BUT, 12 hours is a long time to go without a bottle, so I would think that she's just hungry. Especially if she's grown a lot lately (which she has, right?) because what used to keep her full will no longer because she's bigger now.
It's still great that she goes from 8-5. Also, she may not want to be swaddled after the bottle because you said that you don't swaddle her for naps, right? So, when she goes back to sleep she is most likely considering that a nap. (hope this makes sense).

Parker started protesting. She would scream and cry when I tried to swaddle her. I knew it was time when that started happening.

We just stopped swaddling Asher -- he was going nuts trying to pull his hands out in the early morning. I noticed that he was sleeping fine in co-sleeper w/out being swaddled during his naps, so his startle reflex was gone -- so no need to swaddle anymore.
