What are the signs that your DC is ready to be Potty trained and another question..
So I think DS is ready but DH doesn't think so. He feels that when I ask him if he needs to go to the bathroom he should tell me yes or no and that's that. As of now, I can keep asking DS and he will always say he doesn't have to go, but if I tell him lets try he will usually go for me. I am using M&M's but I think I need to print up a sticker chart because I think he will do better with that.
Should I continue or should I wait another month. He is 3 and 2 months.

A woman from an Early Childhood Development center came to our library and she said if they are not waking up dry in the morning, they are not ready. Hope that helps!

I just did it. Took the advice of some on the boards and just went with it. Megan will be 3 in August. She didnt really show any signs except for the fact that she hit when she was going poopies in her diaper. I just told myself, this is it.
When she woke in the morning, I just put her in underwear. First 2 days..set the timer for every half hour. She had 3 accidents and that was it!! I had to ask her the first 2 days and after that she got the hang of it and told me EVERY TIME!! She is NOT trained at night and I admit, there are some mornings she wakes up wet still. Apparently in our situation, that sign wasnt there (getting up dry) but training worked anyway. Good luck..I think you should give it a shot.
ETA...we did m and m's...and we also did a sticker chart. When she got 10 stickers we went to toys r us and picked out a special toy. Now, she doesnt remember the stickers anymore (that could get expensive! LOL) but sometimes she does remember the m and ms. I dont mind though, I only give her 2.

Thanks, I am going to try the timer. He did fight me before to put underwear on so I put a diaper on him and we went out It also might be easier to do it during the week because I think DH thinks it is suppose to be easier.
