Re: what are you bringing to the hospital for the baby?
I was thinking about that last night when I couldnt sleep! I packed a few coming home outfits bc I couldnt decide, and I packed a blanket and a pacifier.
Do we need to bring a diaper bag? I assume I'll be coming straight home from the hospital which is about 20-30 minutes away, but not sure if I need to bring some supplies just in case.

Re: what are you bringing to the hospital for the baby?
I'm sure I packed too much. I packed the coming home outfit, hat, socks, a few side snap onesies, a receiving blanket, and a heavier stroller blanket (which I probably dont need). A pacifier seems like a good idea so I think I'll add that too. I put it all in my diaper bag just because my bag is pretty full and I wanted to keep all the baby's washed stuff separate.

Re: what are you bringing to the hospital for the baby?
2 Coming home outfits to choose from, one blanket, some baby wipes. I heard the the hospital only gives gauze to be wet down for wiping. I prefer that anyway, as I do not want to use wipes at the beginning. However, I read that those first poops with the meconium, black tar or whatever, are pretty bad and I may be sorry if I don't have real wipes. So far, that is it for baby. I may add more.

Re: what are you bringing to the hospital for the baby?
I brought a coming home outfit, onesie tee shirt the kind that snapped on the side(not the kind that slapped at bottome), a hat, blanket and car seat, and pacifier.
I didnt use baby wipes, shes now 2 weeks old and still just use wet bounty towels to wipe her with.. I never had any problems getting the poo off of her.

Re: what are you bringing to the hospital for the baby?
The hospital keeps them in those little teeshirts, and wraps them in a blanket. You can bring your own blanket and hat if you want, no need for clothes.
I would bring one outfit for the day home, depending on how far you live from the hospital your not going to need a diaper bag, at least I didn't cause we went right home. The hospital also give you stuff to bring home.

Re: what are you bringing to the hospital for the baby?
Make sure you bring two coming home outfits in case there is a poopy explosion in the first one!
You won't need a diaper bag the hospital gives you tons of diapers. Some hospitals don't give wipes and I thought the paper towels were a PITA so you should bring some.

Re: what are you bringing to the hospital for the baby?
You need nothing. Take everything they give you and ask for more.
My DH brought the car seat with our coming home outfit on the morning I checked out.

Re: what are you bringing to the hospital for the baby?
I brought an outfit for the baby, toliet trees minus the hairspray. I didn't bring anything scented just in case the baby had a reaction. I brought PJ's, panties, slippers and an extra PILLOW!!! I wore home what i wore to the hospital since I knew I wasn't going to be wearing it for long. DH packed camera's.

Re: what are you bringing to the hospital for the baby?
I packed way too much with the birth of my DD. All you really need is the going home outfit, the hospital supplys everything else...even onesies!
Speaking of going home outfits...DD was 7lbs 1oz...and 0-3mos was HUGE on her. Next time I'll buy a preemie outfit...so it will fit better. Newborns have no body fat...they look like skinny little chickens!
