What are you doing with gifts that are from China?(if you are anti-China?)

After an episode this summer of getting out of my car, going to the backseat to get Josh out of the carseat and seeing his entire mouth and face covered in blue paint from his like tikes cell phone, I am not buying china made toys.

I found out my cousin bought him a diego doll....do you just say thanks? am I a b!tch for exchanging it at the store?

Diego is constantly on the toy lists of recalls.

listen...personally...I ask all the time on here and there are alot of diff opinions..I myself am scared. Everything is recalled. Makes me wonder.
I no longer cover my boppy or anything. Lead is no joke.
try to do the best you can-it causes brain damage-what do you care what people think!

I would return it.

If they are approachable about it maybe ask where they bought it and explain the situation.

I know a lot of people, who do not have young children, are out of the loop about the China situation, then again, many who you would think wouldn't know do know. Nearly every day on CBS2 morning news the business report has another story about toys. CNN did an hour special on it recently.

We have asked about DH's nieces and nephews wish lists for years now so this year they asked about DC's. I said no toys please. If they wished to buy something books or clothes were much appreciated and that's what they got.

I have been VERY blunt about this. I have asked everybody NOT to buy DS ANY toys for Christmas.

I have asked for books, etc..
