I bought her gold earrings. She helps me a lot with the baby. I also got her a really cute wind chime for her new porch.
I'm actually more clueless for father's day than mother's day!

My mom never does anything for herself ever. She has devoted her whole self to our family especially dd so I wanted to do something nice for her. I'm taking her out on Saturday to get a hair cut (she hasn't had one in almost a year), and a mani pedi. I also got her some books, and I'm giving her flats of flowers for her garden

She does so much for us. . .
and yet
If I got her pictures, she would get annoyed b/c she had to dust them. She wants one updated picture of each grandchild displayed thankyouverymuch -- she would rather see them in person than see them clutter up her living room.
If I got her jewelry, she would keep it in her jewelry box forever. She has been wearing the same rings, earrings, necklaces, bracelets and watch for as long as I can remember.
If I got her a GC to a spa, she would hate that someone had to touch her, that's disgusting!
If I got her money or a GC to a store, she would find a way to spend it on us or the grandkids.
If I got her flowers, she would yell at me for wasting my money on something that was going to die.
Sigh, I am getting her chocolate.

WOw this kinda sounds like my mom... especially the spa part, she is such a prude that she would ask to get the massage fully clothed, LMAO.
Anyway, we are taking her out for lunch at Hibachi. Also, we'll be bringin over homemade chocolate covered strawberries for dessert later.

We started a new tradition 2 years ago where we either get massages or mani/pedis and then go to lunch. This year we're doing mani/pedis together.

my sister, brother and I chipped in for a kindle for her. We gave it to her already because my brother has a wedding on mother's day weekend and won't be here. On actual mother's day, I'll give her some photos of DD.

Mugs.
Yep... she's got everything, but she loves the mugs that I have at my house. They are from carte and barrel and simple whit emugs that she says are much better than her own mugs. So YEP... that is what she is going to get...
Ina addition to ONE mug that will have a photo collage of her & my DS.

I might get her a pandora charm with DD's birthstone. She recently got a bracelet and doesn't have many charms. I'm also giving her pics of DD.

I do her garden every spring for mother's day. I buy the plants/flowers, plant them and when I get a chance go over them and weed them etc. We don't have a house and I love gardening, so its great for me to have a plot of land to do it in. And she loves it too.
