What are you kitchen staples..(besides milk,eggs, etc)

What are the essential items that your kitchen CANNOT be without...Maybe add why if the item is unusual.

Canned Chicken Broth
Canned Diced Tomatos
Pecorino Romano
Brown Gravy Mix (I use it in tons of things. I sprinkle carrots and potatos with it before roasting them. Put it in my stew, Shepards Pie, and use it when I make Stir Fry)
Salsa
Minced Garlic (the kind in the fridge)
Frozen Shrimp (great for when unexpected company stops by)
Canned Tuna Chat Icon

I say regular garlic I mince it myself....

Spices I like to have on hand...Basil, garlic,ground pepper

Also olive oil

red pepper flakes
extra virgin olive oil
scallions
sea salt
a good hunk of parmeggiano reggiano and pecorino romano
unsalted butter
worcestershire sauce
shallots
lemons
garlic powder
mrs. dash

whole canned tomatoes
Italian Tonno tuna packed in olive oil
chopped clams
chicken broth
beef broth
lemons (fresh)
limes (fresh)
white wine
cous cous
brown basmati rice
lite coconut milk
frozen peas
dececco brand spaghetti
peeled garlic (from the veggie market)
fresh parsley
fresh cilantro
corn meal (for polenta)
parm cheese
sharp cheddar
corn tortillas
anchovies (for aglio olio)

If you need to borrow something for a recipe you can usually count on me for any of the following:

Garlic
Gruyere Cheese
Lemons
Fresh herbs - Dill, Thyme, Basil, Parsley, Mint and Rosemary are almost always on hand.
Hot sauce
worcestire sauce
Chicken Stock (My own frozen into cubes)
Chicken Base Paste
Beef Base Paste
Wondra
Rice
Peanut Butter
Rice Sticks
Plain Yogurt
Honey
Montreal Seasoning
Olive Oil
Apples
Variety of Lettuces
Tomatoes
Orzo
Wild Blue Green Algae - because it's good for you.
