So my 15 month old has had a constant runny nose for about 2 months....no ear infections, wheazing, fever etc...just constant runny nose, and i guess slight caugh from mucus build up in throught. Have taken him to peddy several times orginally he suggested its cold after cold and to wait it out. second time i took him he suggested i give him zertec and give him decongestant drops for 3 ddays, still continues to have runny nose.

just would like to hear what others have done, if i take him to allergist what kind of test would they perform... my pedi stated that at this age its really tough to test for allergies and is not keen on me seeing one. i am kind of lost as to what to do... should i take all my carpeting out, i have hard wood floors and leather couches. not sure if i should start taking things out of my house....

just want to hear how others have handled this...
