What are your favorite colors for house siding and shutters?

And roof!
We will be doing the new siding and roof soon, if not this year than next year. I am not sure if we will be getting shutters or not.

I really like white houses with either black shutters or no shutters... but that is what we have now and a lot of our neighbors have that so we want to do something different.
One thing I am certain of is the door will be WHITE.

i love yellow houses with dark green shutters and green roofs. also, white houses with black shutters and red doors.

I like a white house with black shutters too or white with blue shutters and roof.

The seller of our home put a new roof on three days before we closed on the house. I got to pick the color Went with something in the dark brown family so when we re-side in a few years is will match.

I like dark tan/taupe color for the house and wine colored shutters.

we had to redo our roof once we moved in so since our house is yellow we went with a green roof.

We do need to redo our siding too, next year. I am going to stay with yellow, it's nice. Without shutters, we don't really like them

ours is a beigye siding with hunter green shutters and door, roof is black-we had no choice in that. I'll post pics

here is our house...the siding looks kind of lighter than it really is but it's a very natural color.

My favorite too is the white with black shutters, but I understand why you want something different. One of our neighbors recently resided and it looks great: it is a light beigey color with white trim. They have a brown/beige roof.

I would also recommend beige with burgundy, slate blue or hunter green accents. If you choose blue or hunter accents, you can do the roof that color too.

I have seen also a grayish house with white accents or blue and that looked sharp.

My Favorite color is blue.

We want to purchase another house, when we do I am definently going to have blue siding and a blue roof.

I wanted to do it to our house now but had no idea my DH wanted to change the siding so I choose the new roof already to be green to match our yellow.

When we re-do the outside of our house, we want to do it in off-white with dark green shutters and a red door.

We did red bricks with some decorative huge stones on the lower half of the house all around ( including the backyard) and barn red cedar shingles on the face of the house and the sides in regular siding barn red. I know Barn red sounds weird but its not a bright red at all, its like a farm dark red. We did our roof in black and the window trim and trim on house in white along with new gutters in white. We are not sure if we are going to put up shutters or not if we do it will be in black. Next is the garage door and front door. ( Its a custom color- it cost us 14k just for the siding alone b/c its a special order)

We just got done our siding, windows and roof. We got beige siding, maroon shutters, and brown roof. We have brick wall on the front also. If I had my scanner hooked up, I got add a picture. Sorry!

We are doing white with black shutters. We just had our black roof done.

Our roof is a silver color. Our house is painted. It's a light gray with white trim. No pics yet as the house is getting painted this week

I love the mediteranean look - beige stucco, red tile roof, but since that isn't always practicle in the northeast, we will be going with a tan vinyl siding and burgandy shutter, with a dark brown or black roof.

I can't wait until we save up enough for this change.

we have cranberry shutters, lt gray siding, a white door and white garage doors, we actually were not going to do the shutters but once they resided the front, it looked too bare and drab....

(oh - and our roof is grayish with tiny green and red speckles....they have so many different types of colors of roofs now - i was amazed!)

found some old pics of our house before and after our construction (you cna't see the additon on the back....) - we also have a wooden deck out front and better (but still not "nice" ) landscaping, etc....but to give you an idea....

first pic is the old front, then the new front w/o shuuters, the new front with shutters but not the deck.... (did I just confuse anyone???)




(eta: I think the deck makes it look a little nicer too....but my pics are on my laptop which is being "serviced" )
