What are your Mother's day plans?
Does everyone go visit their mom and MIL on Mother's day? Or do you just send a card or flowers?

Normally we go to DHs' sisters and celebrate with dhs mom. My mother had passed away. This year since its my 1st official mothers day and we are seeing his mother the weekend before, DH promised me that we could go out just the 3 of us and spend the day together. Im sooo excitted. Hope its a warm beautiful day, so we can take our DD to the beach for the first time.

DH just bought tickets to take me to see Young Frankenstein on broadway on Saturday and then we are going to dinner in Chinatown (my mom is coming to babysit). On Sunday, my parents are going to the METS game, so DH and the kids will make me breakfast and just spend time together.

We are going out to eat with my mom on Mother's day (I can't wait to eat at this restaurant) and we visit my MIL the day before. We always do this. That's why I was wondering if everyone actually does the "visits", b/c I feel bad we can't get to my MIL's on Mother's day (she's out of state).

I actually have no idea what we are doing for Mother's Day.
If I had a guess - breakfast with my parents dinner with my ILs. But we haven't discussed it.
Next year I will stay at home and gladly allow DH to cater on me hand and foot as I enjoy my first mother's day.

Yes I have two dogs. I was going to write that I was a mom to two furry kids, but didn't want to get into the dog vs baby debate.

That works out to be a good thing if you don't care for your ILs (do you?)?
Mine are ok...wouldn't mind if they lived in New Mexico though.

I won't get to see my mom that day because we are going to BIL's house in CT so celebrate Mother's Day  Don't ask.
It's our 6th wedding anniversary that day this year!!
